My name is Cameron Phillips and I’m a 36 year old gamer from South West Scotland. I still live there with my wife, 10 year old son and ginger cat.

In 1990 I was given a NES for Christmas packaged with the game based on The Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles. The game was impossibly difficult, included a frustrating as hell underwater bomb disposal level and was often glitchy but I didn’t care. I had fallen love with video games.

I’ve gone through the Super Nintendo, Game Boy, PlayStation, Game Boy Advance Gamecube, PlayStation 2, Wii, Xbox 360, PSP,  Vita, WiiU and PS4 over the last 27 years. Most of my PC gaming was for Championship Manager. Don’t hold that against me.

Dragon In The Castle is a blog for my written work on video games and gaming culture. If you like what you read then I can be hired on a freelance basis. Rates can be discussed by contacting me at gersman@hotmail.com.

My Twitter feed can be found @Criple.
